In the Arena Gallery Liverpool-based painter, Paul Bywater presents Something to do with Death, 30 new, highly detailed drawings at the Arena Studios Gallery in the Elevator Building on Parliament Street.
Whilst these are primarily to be seen as stand-alone works of art, they also mark a change of technique for the artist with several of the drawings serving as studies for new paintings to be exhibited in Liverpool and Manchester later in the year.
The pieces are primarily portraiture and will be of particular interest to those who enjoy skilful draughtsmanship and a traditional approach to artistic depiction. (They will appeal especially to lovers of the Spaghetti Western).
The artist will be present to meet any visitors and answer any questions regarding this recent show, and his future work.
