On Tuesday 23rd February at 6.30pm Arena Studios will be showing ‘The Creative Process’ by local film maker, Ryan Garry. This was originally an event for Arena members but we are now offering a limited number of spaces to the public. It’s an informal event and you must book in advance if you’d like to come.

Here’s more about the film
The Creative Process interviews fourteen Merseyside artists – painters and photographers, sketchers and sculptors, each with their own compelling stories – and investigates the highly subjective nature of their creativity.
We ask them to explore their artistic journeys – uncovering the varying and extremely personal idiosyncrasies of each individual. We will see how emotionally charged the creation of art is – that the methods and styles of each artist are linked with deeply important people in their lives, powerful moments in their memories, or an overwhelming sense of art and creation being a home for them.
The Creative Process was made in association with the Rathbone Studio, and previewed in July 2015 at BFI Southbank. It will be screening across Merseyside from 2016.
