The current paintings are small-scale, intense works exploring themes of home, longing and memory. Ketskemety explicitly uses the photograph as source material, raising questions about authenticity, objectivity, capture and permanence. Her paintings are sometimes subtly sculptural, freeing them from the gallery wall while making viewing even more intimate.
3D works
Playful, off-kilter wooden sculptures combining found parts with jigsawed shapes and hinges or wheels, exploring negative space, balance, movement and colour.
Ketskemety initially studied architecture but went on to graduate from Liverpool John Moores University with a Fine Art (BA) Hons in 1997.
